| The search for a deceased woman killed in Texas turned up nothing, Bienville Parish Sheriff John Ballance said Thursday. A multi-agency effort among the sheriff’s office, Bienville Parish Fire Protection Wards 4 and 5 search and recovery, the ArkLaTex K-9 Search and Rescue State Team, the Red River Sheriff’s Office, the Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State Police turned up no signs of Ashley Martin Davis, who was reportedly killed Oct. 27 in Odessa, Texas. "We looked in the areas where she was believed to be, and we know where she’s not," Ballance said. "We didn’t find anything. We had divers drag Mill Creek, had a cadaver dog in the woods – we found nothing." Officials were broken up into three teams in Bienville to search the three areas of interest in the investigation. After hours of performing grid searches and dragging Mill Creek, the search was concluded around lunchtime Thursday. A flyover by state police last week didn’t turn up any leads either, the sheriff said. Jackson Parish Sheriff Andy Brown said they believe the suspect, Jonathon Boston, transported Davis’ remains back to Louisiana to the Bienville/Lucky area off Highways 9 and 4 in her vehicle. "During the course of the investigation, the suspect killed himself," Brown said. "Prior to taking his life, he did communicate information to us. Unfortunately, he did not provide any specifics on what he did with Ashley’s remains, other than to say he ‘drug her into the woods.’ In addition, evidence has led us to arrest Boston’s brother, Laterrian Lewis, for having knowledge of the homicide and for aiding his brother in helping hide the remains of Ashley Martin Davis, and for lying to law enforcement when confronted with the evidence against him." Although Thursday’s search did not reveal any remains or additional evidence, Brown is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Davis’ remains. He is asking hunters in the area to pay extra attention to their surroundings. "I am asking anyone with information about this case to please come forward," he said.
