RPSO investigating John Deere theft

RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB) - The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a 2022 John Deere Z970R Zero Turn Mower from the Tall Timbers Baptist Conference Center between May 3 and May 6. RPSO said the suspects gained entry by cutting a chain-linked fence around the property. Once the mower was stolen, the suspects drove it to a nearby area adjacent to Hwy 165 South, on the south end of the Tall Timbers Baptist Conference Center property. It is believed this happened during the night. The mower’s value is estimated at around $15,000. Investigators are asking for help to identify anyone responsible for the crime.
