Deputies with the Newton County Sheriff's Department have reportedly recovered a vehicle and arrested two suspects in connection with an incident alleged to have occurred on Thursday in DeRidder. Officers says the series of events began late Thursday afternoon when they received word that the vehicle had been stolen and began to assist with the search on the Texas side of the river. A short time later, the vehicle was reportedly spotted at the Family Dollar Store on Highway 63 in Burkeville, where they recovered it and took the two suspects into custody. Rachelle Watkins and Oscar Joiner, both of Leesville were transported to the Newton County Jail where they were at last word still being held.
