The Tyler County Sheriff’s Department says a pair of purse snatchers were found with methamphetamine and have been arrested.
According to the report, a woman who was shopping at the Family Dollar store in Spurger reported her purse stolen. The report said deputies reviewed security camera video and were able to identify the thief as 41-year-old William Conkle, of Silsbee and he had two felony warrants in Tyler County. He was accompanied by 48-year-old Jessica Persons, of Woodville.
Deputies received information that Conkle was at a house on County Road 4145, so they went there and arrested him and the woman. The report said inside the house they found methamphetamine
Conkle was charged with three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Theft, while Persons was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Theft.
Bond on Conkle was set at $87,500.00 and bond on Persons was set at $32,500.00.
