A Polk County judge has sentenced a convicted child predator to life in prison with no possibility of parole. This comes after a jury found 48-year-old Livingston resident Shannon Keith Hardee guilty on two counts of second-degree felony Sexual Assault of a Child and two counts of first-degree felony Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. Prosecutors presented a case which showed that Hardee targeted single mothers in order to gain access to their children for sexual purposes. Following two days of testimony, the jury came back with guilty verdicts with less than an hour of deliberation, and then the life sentence was handed down by State District Judge John Wells, III.
