A crash sent two people to the hospital Sunday afternoon in Lufkin.

According to Lufkin police, around 1:22 p.m. Sunday, a Chevrolet Avalanche truck was traveling northbound on North Medford when it rear ended a minivan near the intersection of Lufkin Ave. and lost control.

The car ended up in the lot of Al Meyers Ford upside down on other vehicles. Lufkin police said the passenger was ejected upon impact and landed on a Cadillac on the sales lot of the dealership.

Police said officers arrived to find the driver in the back seat of the Chevy. Neither of the men were wearing seat belts.

Both have since been air lifted to out-of-town hospitals in unknown condition.

The people inside the minivan were checked out at the scene but did not request hospital transport.
