Police seek suspects following armed robbery

Jasper Police are seeking two suspects following an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday evening at the Vape-N-More Store located in the 800 block of West Gibson Street. Police Chief Gerald Hall said officers were dispatched to the location in the small shopping center in front of Walmart shortly after 9:00 when it was reported that two men had walked into the store, one of them brandishing a gun and demanded cash. Hall said the two suspects, only described as a white male and a black male were last seen running towards Prospect Road with an undisclosed amount of money in hand. Hall said an investigation into the incident was underway and that officers had obtained video from the store's security system that they hope might lead to arrests in the case. Hall said anyone having any information about the crime should come forth and that it might result in a cash reward from the Crime-Stoppers Program.  A week ago, on Monday, the Vape-N-More Store in Newton was robbed in a similar fashion. In that case the suspects were described as two white males. However, it is not known if the two incidents are connected in any way.
