The Alexandria Police Department is investigating after the body of a man was found on MacArthur Drive Thursday morning. The department said in a news release that the man's identity is pending notification of his next of kin.

The body was found in the 1100 block of MacArthur Drive, a busy area not far from Jackson Street with multiple restaurants and businesses. An investigation is continuing.
