LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - A murder charge has been filed on a Lufkin man who police say has admitted to killing two men reported missing in January.
According to Lt. Mike Shurley, two bodies have been recovered and are believed to be Robert Saxton and Michael Allen.
Shurley said Saxton’s body was found in Sabine Parish, Louisiana, and John McCroskey, 57, led police to Allen’s body on Tuesday in Nacogdoches County.
The investigation reveals that Allen and McCroskey were living at a car lot owned by Saxton and they all knew each other. Shurley said McCroskey had been using Saxton’s debit card without Saxton’s authorization.
McCroskey has been booked on a charge of debit card abuse since Feb. 8.
