Jasper Police are investigating a hit and run incident which was reported to have occurred on Saturday evening at the Valero Fuel Stop on Highway 190 East. Complete details have not been released but police say Russel Herbert of Jasper was riding a bicycle through the parking lot of the fuel stop and convenience store when he was struck by an unknown vehicle which did not stop and kept going. Officers said Herbert was taken by ambulance to Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital where he was treated for his injuries to one of his legs and at last word police were still looking for the suspect vehicle.
