Police in Beaumont are searching for a suspect they believe is responsible for the murder of a man on the north side of the city at an apartment complex near Parkdale Mall.
Officers were dispatched the Landmark Apartments at 3155 French Road, just off of Eastex Freeway shortly before 6:00 pm and arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he died a short time later.
After learning that an unidentified man had been seen leaving the apartment just after the shooting took place the officers began an all-out search for the individual who they believe might have more information about the incident.
