Three people are in custody after the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Department said a pipe bomb was found in their car during a traffic stop on Monday night in Etoile. Deputies say the discovery resulted in nearby residents being temporarily evacuated while the Tyler Fire Department Bomb Squad disarmed the bomb. Also in the car, deputies say they found three guns - two of which were stolen – and a small amount of narcotics. Arrested were Brandon Thomas Lightfoot, 28, Misti Michelle Fink, 32, and Melanie Marie Lyman, 38, all of Etoile. Brandon Lightfoot was charged with Theft of a Firearm, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and other charges pending. Bond was set at $30,000.00. Misti Fink was charged Theft of a Firearm and other charges pending. Bond was set at $20,000.00. Melanie Lyman was charged with Theft of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and other charges pending. Bond was set at $75,000.00.
