CARTHAGE, Texas (KLTV) - The Piney Woods Quilt Festival returns to the Carthage Civic Center this weekend. This year’s festival will feature over 175 quilts. Along with the judged quilt show, visitors will also find vendors and a “country store” featuring quilted crafts, books, and other items. This year’s show will also feature a tribute to the late Ann McDaniel. Along with a special showcase of her work, Ann’s family donated one of her quilts for a raffle. Proceeds will benefit the Panola County Cancer Coalition. The show kicks off Friday, April 19, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. It will also be open on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The Carthage Civic Center is located at 1702 S. Adams Street.
