Man carrying a gun seen walking around a Colmesneil neighborhood

The Tyler County Sheriff’s Department is trying to identify a man who was carrying a gun and walking around a Colmesneil neighborhood very early Thursday morning. Sheriff Bryan Weatherford said a short video of the man was captured on a Ring doorbell camera, but unfortunately the man was moving and was blurred. Sheriff Weatherford said the homeowner called 911 at about 5:30 and his deputies responded, but once in the area they were unable to locate the man. According to Weatherford, the white male was wearing all camouflage with a hunting style backpack and was carrying a pistol-grip shotgun. The sheriff said deputies checked area homes and vehicles and found no signs of forced entry. Weatherford said it’s possible that the man is a “squatter” at some location in that area.
