LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The pedestrian hit by a vehicle on La. 14 last week has passed away, according to Lake Charles police.
The crash claimed the life of 63-year-old John Henry Taylor, Jr., of Lake Charles, Sgt. Brad Pucket of LCPD said.
Taylor was hit by a vehicle on Dec. 30 on La. 14 near Broad Street, Puckett said. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
No suspicion of impairment was observed from the driver, but standard toxicology tests are pending, according to Puckett.
