A woman from Orange County has been arrested is now charged with stabbing her mother in the chest following an incident that is alleged to have occurred on Tuesday evening in Little Cypress.
Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the 4300 block of Cambridge Drive shortly after 7:00, when it was reported that the incident had occurred.
Trinity Alexis Martin, 21, is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. If convicted of the 2nd degree felony, she could face 2-20 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
The mother, who has not been named by officers, was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont where she was treated and later released.
