One shot in a Silsbee shootout, three in custody

Silsbee Police say one was hit by gunfire in a Monday evening shootout in Silsbee. Now, the shooters and the boy who was shot are all in custody. Cops say it happened at about 6:30 at JR’s Food Mart on North 5th Street. According to police, a 16-year-old boy was walking out of the store while two 17-year-olds, Brayden Beasley and Cameron Davis, were stopped on the street in a car. Police say the two in the car began shooting and the juvenile shot back at them. In the exchange of gunfire, the 16-year-old was hit, but his wound was non-life threatening. Police said the gun used by the juvenile was stolen and he was also in possession of drugs. After hospital treatment, he was released into police custody. Cops say they later found and arrested Beasley and Cameron. Both Beasley and Davis were charged with Deadly Conduct, while the juvenile was charged with Deadly Conduct, Theft of a Firearm, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, and Possession of Marijuana.
