The volunteers of the East End Fire Department and other emergency personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 63 and Farm to Market Road 1408, just east of Jasper, shortly after 2:00 on Sunday morning when it was reported that two vehicles had collided.
The accident involved a late model pick-up truck that was pulling and trailer and an early model Toyota sedan.
No final report has been released on what caused the crash but one person was taken to the hospital and another was taken to jail.
