One person was taken by ambulance to Jasper Memorial Hospital following a two-vehicle auto accident that occurred in the 1500 block of South Wheeler here in Jasper on Wednesday morning. Police, firemen and other emergency crews were dispatched to the location near the entrance to the Harvest Church shortly after 9:00, when it was reported that the crash had occurred. What happened was not clear and a report has not been released by police, pending completion of the investigation. However, the driver of a small Chevrolet compact car was treated at the scene and then taken to the hospital. The accident occurred in rain as people were entering and leaving the food bank at the Harvest Church, causing some traffic congestion until the wreckage could be cleared from the highway.
