KFDM in Beaumont is reporting that one person died and another was injured in a house fire that occurred on the city's north side on Friday evening. Firemen and other emergency crews were dispatched to a home in the 1800 block of Trinidad near Magnolia Street shortly after 8:00 when it was reported that the single story wood frame structure as on fire and arrived to find heavy black smoke pouring from the front door, attic and other parts of the home. The chief confirms one fatality and one person with injuries taken to a hospital. Police rescued a third person who wasn't hurt. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
