One driver was injured in a north Newton County crash early Tuesday morning. It happened at about 6:30 on Highway 63 near Farm to Market Road 1415, about 4 miles west of Burkeville. Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Shana Clark said Melissa Estes, 32, of Leesville, LA was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu eastbound and crossed over into the westbound lane. Her car struck a westbound 2019 Honda HRV, driven by Thomas Grimsal, 42, of Boyce, LA. Clark said Estes was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries, while Grimsal was not injured.
