Our news partner KFDM in Beaumont is reporting that police there are investigating a disturbance between two men that led to a Thursday night stabbing, and Beaumont Fire/Rescue says it transported two people as trauma alert patients.
Officer Haley Morrow tells KFDM/Fox 4 News police worked two crime scenes, including one at the America's Best Value Inn and another at the Speedy Stop next store off Interstate 10 near College.
KFDM reported live from the Speedy Stop in it's Thursday 10 p.m. newscast.
Officer Morrow says the stabbing victim was transported to CRISTUS St. Elizabeth Hospital.
She says the suspect is in custody and was also transported for medical attention.
Officers are still trying to sort out exactly what happened.
According to the BPD call log, it began as a disturbance shortly before 9:20 p.m. in the 1100 block of Interstate 10 South. That's the location of the hotel.
Beaumont Fire Department District Chief Scott Wheat confirms to KFDM that EMS transported two patients to CHRISTUS as trauma alert patients.
