Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard says the illegal dumping of trash continues to be a problem, and an investigation into the latest incident on Thursday resulted in the arrest of two individuals, one of which was also hit with a drug charge.
Havard said a large amount of refuse was dumped on County Road 89 and the personal information about the men was found in the trash.
According to Havard, deputies obtained arrest warrants on Kelvin Lard, 41, and Thomas Fowler, 57, both of Jasper.
Havard said Lard was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
