A Homer man is in police custody and another man is dead following a Thursday night shooting.
Homer Police Chief Van McDaniel has confirmed to KTBS 3 News that Leonardo Landry Williams is the alleged triggerman in the shooting-death of Albert Ray Harper, 55 of Homer.
The altercation occurred around 8 p.m. in the 300 block of Washington Street, where Harper suffered a total of four gunshot wounds to his upper body and arm area, according to McDaniel.
Harper was pronounced dead at 10:15 p.m. at Claiborne Memorial Medical Center. Williams remains in police custody at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
