The Tri-Community Fire Department says a person suffered critical injuries in an early Sunday morning crash. It happened at about 6:00 on Farm to Market Road 1005. Firefighters arrived to find the driver had been ejected from a pickup truck, which was on fire. The driver, who had severe life-threatening injuries, was flown from the scene by a medical helicopter. Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Shana Clark said 26-year-old Michael Jerome Taylor, Jr., of Jasper, was driving a 2016 GMC truck at an unsafe speed, lost control, and struck a tree.
