NATCHITOCHES PARISH, La. (KALB) - The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office released information about a structure fire near Marthaville on Sunday, May 12. According to authorities, NPFD #7 and NPSO deputies began battling a structure fire in the 3700 block of La. Hwy 487 Sunday afternoon after receiving a 911 call at around 2 p.m.. NPFD #7 also requested mutual aid assistance from Sabine Parish. Two of the residents’ dogs reportedly perished in the fire and the home is considered to be completely lost. No injuries were reported.
