A rumor has been started by a very misinformed person that Brookeland ISD plans to change the school colors. School officials say this is absolutely not true. However, the School Board at their next meeting will be considering approval of a proposed uniform with black accents along with the traditional Brookeland school colors of blue and gold. With a student population of about 340, Brookeland ISD educates students from Jasper, Newton, Sabine, and San Augustine Counties.
