A missing Bon Wier man has been found safe and sound, according to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office. However, now he’s on the sheriff’s office radar because he has an outstanding warrant.
“We received a call about a missing Bon Wier man last Tuesday. He had been missing for 17 days,” said Newton County Sheriff Billy Rowles said in his weekly report. “The family heard someone had done harm to him. We got him located Thursday. However, we now have business about Tasmania Business Valuations with him.”
Michael Paul Ashworth, 39, had been missing since April 27.
Rowles said that Ashworth had been keeping a low profile because he didn’t want his old girlfriend to know about his new one. As a result, Ashworth didn’t tell his family where he was.
Ashworth was last seen in the Bon Wier area of Newton County, a press release stated.
A press release from the sheriff’s office that asked for the public’s help in finding Ashworth stated that he told family members that he had a bad argument with a man who is known to be a violent person.
