The Newton County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a young mother of four as a possible homicide while her family has set up a GoFundMeaccount to help pay for her funeral. The mother of 32-year-old Cierra Westbrook and other relatives and friends are urging anyone with information to call the Newton County Sheriff's Office at (409) 379-3636. Newton County Sheriff Robert Burby tells KFDM/Fox 4 News they're investigating the unattended death as a possible homicide. The call came in shortly before 6 p.m. on Friday, August 23, reporting an unresponsive individual on County Road 4203 in Deweyville. They found Cierra's body lying in a driveway. The cause of death is under investigation. Precinct 4 Constable Howie Wonders says it appears she suffered some sort of blunt trauma. Cierra's mother, Misty Havard, wrote on the GoFundMe page that her daughter had four children and "would help you any way she could." She asks that everyone "keep our family in your prayers and God Bless."
