NATCHITOCHES, La. (KSLA) - In the early morning of March 27, the Natchitoches Police Department (NPD) reports a homicide has occurred.
The victim, Douglas Roberson, 22, of Coushatta, was shot multiple times and later died from his injuries.
Officers were sent to the 3800 block of University Parkway around three a.m. for a victim with gunshot wounds, says Sergeant John Greely.
When they got there, they found Roberson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
NPD immediately rendered aid while waiting for first responders to get there.
Despite these efforts, Roberson was pronounced dead by the Natchitoches Parish Coroner’s Office as a result of his injuries.
Investigators were able to speak to several witnesses and collect numerous pieces of digital and physical evidence that they sent to be analyzed.
The investigation is ongoing and this story will be updated as more information becomes available.
