Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard said Saturday that a man from Hemphill had been arrested following an incident that is alleged to have occurred on Saturday morning in the north end of Jasper County, near Lake Rayburn.
Havard said a deputy was dispatched to a home on County Road 230 shortly after 11:00 when a woman at the address reported that a man had assaulted her earlier in the day a neighbor's house.
Havard said that after investigating the incident, Noah Kincel, 60, was taken into custody and later charged with Assault causing Bodily Injury. However, Havard said it was later learned that Kincel was already wanted in Sabine County on a Motion to Revoke in connection with a previous incident that had occurred there and at last word Kincel remained in the Jasper County Jail.
