A single vehicle crash Wednesday night in Natchitoches Parish claimed the lives of a Sabine Parish man and a Caddo Parish woman, according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Maurice Leon Jackson, 72, of Zwolle, and his passenger, 70-year-old Charlotte Jones Bass of Vivian were pronounced dead at the scene.
Jackson was in Robeline and traveling west on state Highway 6 in a Ford F-150 pickup truck when he drove off the road, traveled through a bank parking lot and hit a tree.
Robeline police, Natchitoches Parish sheriff’s deputies, Louisiana State Police, Natchitoches Parish Regional Medical Center EMS, NPSO Rescue, Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District 7 and Assistant Coroner Steven Clanton responded to the scene.
The crash is still under investigation by Robeline police and assisted by the Louisiana State Police.
