NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - Authorities have released the identity of a woman who died in an April 4 fire. According to the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office, Lucy Hayes Lambert, 58, was found dead inside a residence in the 200 block of County Road 5011 in the Kingtown area around 5:49 a.m. on Thursday, April 4. The residence was a complete loss and the origin of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities said that no immediate signs of foul play were evident or observed. The residence was said to be fully involved upon arrival. No immediate signs of foul play were observed at the scene of the fire, which occurred in the 200 block of CR 5011 in the Kingtown area in the early morning hours of Thursday, April 4, 2024. Volunteers from the Etoile, Melrose, Woden, and Kingtown volunteer fire departments, and firefighters from the Nacogdoches Fire Department, responded to the scene and were able to extinguished the blaze by approximately 11:25 a.m. The fire remains under investigation.
