Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the scene of a high-speed chase that ended in Shreveport on Tuesday afternoon.
Officials with the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office confirm the high-speed chase started the afternoon of Tuesday, Dec. 15, in Webster Parish, then moved through Bossier Parish and ended in Shreveport at the Jimmie Davis Bridge.
Officials say a deputy in Webster Parish started tailing the man, now identified as 39-year-old Kenneth Cross, who was wanted on charges of theft and burglary.
At this time, it appears Cross hit at least one other vehicle in Bossier Parish.
Officials with the Minden Police Department say Cross reached speeds of more than 100 mph during the course of the chase.
Louisiana State Police representatives say a woman and multiple dogs were also in Cross’ vehicle.
Mike Walker says he was sitting at the red light on Barksdale Boulevard at Golden Meadows Drive a vehicle slammed into his from behind. After hitting him, Cross kept going. Walker says police were right behind him. He says he’s okay, but he’s sure he’ll be in some pain in the days to come.
Numerous additional charges for Cross are pending.
