A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Vernon Parish on Sunday. It happened shortly before noon on Louisiana State Highway 8, about 20 miles northeast of Leesville. According to Louisiana State Police, 64-year-old Joseph Antee, a resident of Flatwoods, Louisiana, was riding a 2016 Harley-Davidson and he went off the highway in a curve. The motorcycle hit an embankment and threw him off. Antee was pronounced dead at the scene.
