The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department says a motorcyclist who fled from them at speeds well over 100 miles-per-hour hit a Texas Parks & Wildlife vehicle and then he wrecked out.
According to the report, at about 11:00 Friday morning Deputy Brian Gray was on Highway 96 just north of Jasper when he noticed the motorcycle had no license plate so he attempted to make a traffic stop. The man began fleeing northbound at a very high rate of speed and outran the deputy.
Police in Pineland then tried to stop him, but he fled southbound on Highway 96 back into Jasper County until he hit the side of a Texas Parks & Wildlife truck and crashed.
He has been identified as 37-year-old George Frederick Park, of Louisiana, and the report said he had methamphetamine and a handgun.
Park has been charged with Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon.
