MARSHALL, Texas (KLTV) - A Waskom man is wanted by police after they say he kidnapped his ex-girlfriend in Marshall.
Jamichael Duane Brown, 44, is wanted on three felony warrants. He is considered armed and dangerous, and the public should not approach him, Marshall Police Department spokesperson Lori McDowell said in a news release.
Around 7:29 a.m. Saturday, Marshall police received a call requesting a welfare check in the 1300 block of East Pinecrest Drive, where they found a woman who reported that she had been kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend identified as Brown, McDowell said.
During the investigation, detectives found Brown’s vehicle in Greenwood, Louisiana, and a coordinated search effort was conducted between multiple Texas and Louisiana agencies, but Brown was not located, McDowell said.
Brown is charged with aggravated kidnapping and two prior warrants for violation of bond conditions and assault of a pregnant person, which involve the same woman as in the kidnapping, McDowell said.
