Police in Beaumont say a suspect who was wanted in connection with a murder that occurred there a few weeks ago turned himself in on Monday.
Koy Dodd Jr., 19, is accused of shooting and killing Ta'Dran Amon Carmon, 17, on March 19 at a home on Chaison Street, in South Park, not far from Lamar University.
Police believe Dodd had been traveling back and forth between Beaumont and Houston as he hid from officers.
Justice of the Peace Ben Collins Sr. issued a Murder Warrant for Dodd and set bond at $975,000.
Officers found Carmon's body inside a 2015 Kia Optima that was backed into a yard at the home. He was a senior at Beaumont United High School.
So far there has been no mention of any motive for the killing.
