Beech Grove Fire Chief Jamie Gunter says a man was seriously injured in a mishap that occurred as he was cutting down a tree. It happened shortly after 10:00 Monday morning on FM 254, just north of FM 2799, in the Curtis Community. Gunter said the man was treated at the scene by paramedics with Allegiance EMS and Beech Grove First Responders, and then flown by medical helicopter to a Beaumont hospital.
