CORRIGAN, Texas (KTRE) - Corrigan police are asking the public to send in information on a suspect involved in a shooting on Sunday.
Officers were called to Corrigan Square Apartments in the 100 block of Bluebonnet Circle at about 11:56 for a shooting, according to a release from the Corrigan Police Department.
When they arrived, officers said they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was taken to a nearby hospital before being transferred to Houston. He is stable, police said, but his identity is being withheld.
Investigation revealed that the shooting took place after an argument between two men over the treatment of the victim’s son, the release said. The suspect left the scene in a white 2014 VW Passat, and police have identified him as Darius Deshaun Hawthorne, 32, of Woodville.
Hawthorne is described as being 5′7″ and is considered to be armed and dangerous. Police have said investigation is ongoing, and the Criminal Investigation Division is following up on leads.
