The Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a man on a murder charge. Travon Alexander, 30, is accused of shooting and killing 33-year-old Joel Jenkins following an argument over a game of dominos.
It happened May 13th at about 1:00am on Prairie Avenue, just over a mile south of downtown.
Beaumont Police say Alexander shot Jenkins multiple times with an AK-47 rifle.
Magistrate Judge Marc DeRouen set bond on Alexander at $1 million.
