Newly elected Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard and his deputies are continuing with their crackdown on the possession and use of illegal drugs Officers say that on Friday evening a routine traffic stop near the intersection of Hwy. 1013 and Hwy. 82 in Jasper County for expired registration resulted in another arrest after a substance believed to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle. The deputy's investigation led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia and a clear crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamines. The driver of the vehicle who was later identified as Charles Bolling White, 64, of Call, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and taken to the Jasper County Jail where he was at last word still being held.
