Jasper County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Scotty Duncan says deputies are investigating the death of a man in Rayburn Country. According to Duncan, the man’s body was in an advanced stage of decomposition when he was found by his son Monday morning outside in the yard of his house at 125 Bluebird Street in Audubon Hills. Jasper County Precinct 5 Justice of the Peace Brett Holloway performed the inquest and he has ordered an autopsy. Judge Holloway identified the man as 60-year-old John Paul Wright. Both Duncan and Judge Holloway said there were no signs of foul play and the death is believed to have been by natural causes.
