Jasper Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Sunshine Convenience Store at the intersection of Highway 190 and Graham Street. Police say man a man entered the store shortly after 9:00 on Thursday evening with a gun and demanded that the clerk hand over money. Chief Garrett Foster said the suspect who at this point has only been described as a black male, made the clerk lie face down on the floor before leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash and running north on Graham Street. So far, no leads have been reported in the case.
