Police in Beaumont are saying they do not expect any charges to be filed in connection with a death that occurred on Wednesday evening on the west side of the city.
Officers were called to the 8600 block of Landis Street, just west of Major Drive and north of College Street, shortly after 8:00, when it was reported that a man had been run over by a vehicle.
Police said the man, who was later identified as Trey Guillory, 29, of Beaumont was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he died a short time later.
Officers say the driver of a Nissan Sentra was traveling west when he ran over Guillory who was said to be lying in the road.
Police said the driver of the Nissan, called 911 and stayed at the scene until help arrived.
