A man died and a woman was injured in an early Monday morning house fire in Vidor. It happened shortly after midnight in the 200 block of Fillmore Street in northwest Vidor.
The woman broke a window and crawled out while the man stayed inside. His body was found late Monday morning near the front door.
Paramedics treated the woman at the scene and she was then taken to a hospital for treatment.
The Texas State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
