The Sabine Parish Sheriff's Office says a man has been arrested and is accused of stealing a $4,000.00 Kubota zero-turn riding mower from a volunteer fire department. According to Sheriff Aaron Mitchell, the crime occurred during the early morning hours of Monday, January 2nd when the suspect broke in the Central Sabine Fire Station in Many twice. According to the sheriff, the mower was later found abandoned at a residence a few miles east of downtown Many. Sheriff Mitchell said investigators used security camera video evidence to identify and lead them to their suspect, 24-year-old Christopher Jerroid Garner, of Florien. Mitchell also noted that a deputy noticed Garner riding the mower earlier in the day before it was reported stolen. Mitchell said Garner was arrested on Thursday and he's now charged with two counts of Simple Burglary.
