Vernon Parish deputies arrested a man after they said he armed himself with a gun and threatened to kill a family member during a disturbance over the weekend at a home in Anacoco. Alvin Strickland, 75, has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Firearm. As of Monday bond had not yet been set and Strickland remained in the Vernon Parish Jail in Leesville.
