A man from Mount Pleasant was arrested in Vernon Parish on Sunday after the sheriff’s department says he followed a woman to her house, and in his pockets deputies found a roll of tape, gloves, and marijuana.
Sheriff Sam Craft said Daniel Gerard Lerette followed the woman from a convenience store to her house in the Pitkin Community. He then parked behind her car in her driveway and approached her. However, Craft said the woman told him to leave her property, so he did.
Craft said his deputies found the man a short distance away and that’s when they found the tape, gloves, and marijuana.
Lerette was arrested and charged with Stalking and Possession of Marijuana. Bond was set at $252,500.00 and at last word he remained in the Vernon Parish Jail.
