The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Texas says a man and woman in Jefferson County have been sentenced to federal prison after they attempted - but failed - to rob a convenience store in Nederland on September 2nd, 2024 while armed with a rifle.
Cole Ethan Schroeder, 21, of Beaumont, pleaded guilty to a charge of Brandishing a Firearm During a Crime of Violence. U.S. District Judge Marcia Crone sentenced him to 9 years and 6 months of confinement.
Carley Melana Fowler, 21, of Nederland, pleaded guilty to a charge of Robbery. Judge Crone sentenced her to 5 years and 3 months of confinement.
